DIRECTOR’S NOTES

“I STEAL FROM EVERY SINGLE MOVIE EVER MADE, I LOVE IT. IF MY WORK HAS ANYTHING IT’S THAT I’M TAKING THIS FROM THIS AND THAT FROM THAT AND MIXING THEM TOGETHER. IF PEOPLE DON’T LIKE THAT, THEN TOUGH TITTY, DON’T GO SEE IT, ALRIGHT? I STEAL FROM EVERYTHING. GREAT ARTIST STEAL, THEY DON’T DO HOMAGES.”
QUENTIN TARENTINO

“The DIRECTOR is the ACTOR’S first AUDIENCE.”

1-When a DIRECTOR decides to cast the ACTOR in his or her Movie, they Anticipate and Expect the ACTOR to join their Army, fight along side them and the others, PROTECT, SERVE, and PRESERVE the OBJECTIVE.

2-It’s about “What” do you have that’s “Special, Different” that can change a DIRECTOR’S mind.

3-When the ACTOR arrives on the set to begin their work with the DIRECTOR, this is what the ACTOR must bring:

COMMITMENT
DISCILINE
PASSION
TRUST
“PATIENCE”

4-This is what the Actor must Possess:

STILLNESS
SIMPLICITY
SUBTLETY
SILENCE
SECRECY

This above all else, begins the “Working relationship” with
with the “Director” and “Actor”

4-When the ACTOR meets the DIRECTOR, the ACTOR should promise “NOTHING” and deliver “EVERYTHING”
